Carter G. Woodson School has developed strategic partners to provide our students education and training in the visual arts. At Carter G. Woodson, we recognize that children have so many different talents and are burgeoning artists. We incorporate the visual arts as a pedagogical approach in teaching and learning.

 

Our teachers infuse visual arts across their curriculum. Teachers require students to produce visual arts in literature, science, and math courses. In addition, we have in-house student artists that produce art for the larger school community. Student artists annually showcase their artwork at Carter G. Woodson special events, including designing a beautiful mural, in the school gymnasium for our annual Black & White Gala.
